Hi to all journal readers,
Some News…..
-In one of the seams of the pocket from the coat of the French Garde Republicain, which I am wearing daily, I found a small folded ticket.
After opening it, it was a piece of a Paris metro ticket stamped 1906, so presumably the coat is not from the 1920's, but more than hundred years old ! pre 1906 !
-Other news is that my spinal column has been X-rayed and scanned in the hospital last Tuesday, main reason was to check what had led to the pain and loss of control of my legs on Friday the 13th of January , and now I still have a numb feeling in my legs at the end of the day, and walking like a zombie by the end of the evening.
On coming Wednesday I will be debriefed by the doctor about their findings .

Tomorrow the 4 day Castlefest festival will start! see website below! and see the after official movie from 2022 ! Haven't written anything for almost a year now.
In the coming weeks we will be very busy if weather permits , so it can happen i will not be able to upload or answer directly , or say thanks for the fav's ! Next long weekend from 3 till 6 August we will be going to Castlefest in Lisse for 4 days. Will upload some photo's in the week after Castlefest. The weekend from 12 till 13 August we have planned to go too Mera Luna in Hildesheim Germany. https://meraluna.de/en/ After this weekend depending on weather and most important the temperature and if it rains or not perhaps we stays in Germany for a small holiday. If there is no forecast for rain the week after in Holland we will go back home, since we also have to do some exterior painting on the house, and have some work on the roof to do, we have some leakage due to the storm we had. Update September on cats and work.
First week of September we were told by the care takers where Poekie lives now, that she had died of old age , at the age of 17. may she rest in peace. Further the very sociable siamese visiting cat Gizmo is no longer with us. She has been ran over by a car on 24 August 2022. May she rest in peace. We had not seen Gizmo since the end of August, and assumed her caretakers where on vacation like so many people on our square, and that she was taken to a cat shelter for the duration of the vacation. Two weeks ago we heard rumors that Gizmo was gone (Not the first time), but it didn't make sense because she had a GPS tracking collar. A few days later we heard from her caretaker Carole who came to our house , to inform us that Gizmo had been ran over by a car on the bussy road between their house on the square and the recreation park/forest on the other side of a bussy road. Update on Castlefest weekend
Update on Castlefest 2022 In itself it was very nice to be there again, but missed a lot of people from our age group that we normally always meet at Coffe A, when asked, not everyone got through the last 3 years unscathed, was a downer! Furthermore, we missed quite a few exhibitors that were important for us, and bands that did stand for 2020 were a bit too much of the same and fewer artists in my opinion, from the food department missed the 2 that should be there with their skewer meat grilled with honey for which i was longing !!as indicated on the map (15 & 21)but weren't there Saturday it was very busy, and we started at 10.00 left around 13,00 o'clock we left, went back alone at 18.00 too see Waldkaus and the Wicker ritual for which i put the FFP2 mask on, to go through the crowds towards the stage. en.wikipedia.org Wicker man - Wikipedia succeeded Will take a DA break for about 1 or 2 weeks, and will then start uploading some photo's of this 2022
