Revuenon F1,4 55mm lens, test shot VII

All Photo in this serie were taken at full lensopening , F1,4 .

Been looking for a fast 50 or 55 mm lens, since a standard kit lens at 55mm is at full opening already F5,6 !

So whats the big difference between F1,4 and F5,6 ? From F5,6 to F4 to F2,8 to F2.0 to f1,4 means 4 full stops , or better explained the surface of opening of the lens that lets light through to the sensor is a staggering 16 x bigger !

Which means that if you would take a photo at F5,6 with a 1/100 of a second and would open it up to F1,4 you would have a 1/1600 of a second !!!! or 16 times faster at full opening!!

Although a Leitz lens addict, the price of a second hand F1.4 Leits Summilux 50mm would set me back around 1000,- for the first version and 2000,- + for the second version !!

And yes the Summilux is worth it , but due to the price not for me (one day perhaps).

So why a Revuenon ? apart from paying only 50,- secondhand

The Revuenon F1,4 55mm was made by Tomioka in Japan, which company is little known but has a very high reputation in making lenses’.

“I was lucky when I got this lens, I wasn't know that this lens made by one of the best Japanese third-party vendor Tomioka.
This lens excellent in every point of views optically and mechanically and you can get for very low price ,because the label shows cheap budget lens. Believe me this lens good as any OEM vendor product such as Canon or Nikon.
It has M42 mount so you can use virtually on any interchangeable mount cameras. “
