The Индустар, or Industar 50-2 lens is a Russian fabricated 4 lens "Tessar" anastigmat type lens .
The "Tessar" is photographic lens design conceived by physicist Paul Rudolph in 1902 while he worked at the (Carl) Zeiss optical company, and the lens was patented by Zeiss in 1906.
For its time, it was a high-resolution lens with a well corrected chromatic aberration.
Even by today's standards !!!
Mounted on a 18 Megapixel body it can deliver very crisp, detailed and beautiful rendered pictures, especially considering that its design is 110 years old !!
These beauty's can be found for anything between 5 and 25 euro max !!
And another thing is that due to its size and weight (65 grams) , its never a burden to carry around in the photo bag or even in your pocket !!
