Midwinter Fair Archeon 60by *pagan-live-style

Midwinter Fair ( MWF ) is held in the Archeon theme park in the village of Alphen a/d Rijn in the Netherlands.

In Archeon, you will experience three periods in Dutch history:
1. Prehistory (8800-12 BC).
2. Roman era (12 BC. - 406 AD).
3. Middle Ages (406 - 1350 AD).

All 43 buildings (gates, bridges, inn, cabins, temples, monasteries, farms and guild houses) in Archeon are reconstructions of buildings that have ever really been in the Netherlands. These buildings are full-size reconstructed based on archaeological finds. The reconstructions are 'inhabited' by Archeo. They have the history in a very authentic way revived.

Against this background the fair is held, and attracts all walks of life like pagan's , wiccans, goth's, steampunkers and other fantasy related people.

Its this mix what makes it what it is !!
