Gina taken wide open, was taken with a manual focus F2.0 50mm Leitz Summicron lens from 1969 on the Canon 60D from 2011.
Although the difference in age of 42 years, its a good marriage !
This photo was taken with the Summicron Wide open (F2,0), and came out of the camera as a Black & White picture.
Late last evening i was looking at the site of Thorsten & Overgaard about the Leica M9 monochrom camera, which is especially made for Black and White photo's only, and the shear beauty it can render in black and white.
Now the Canon 60D has as many digital camera's a setting for Black and white, but the results are mediocre.
After counseling several forrums it became clear that these factory setting could be altered , so i did and after several test shots this is the first one thats coming close to what i am looking for !!
It wil never deliver the images as the Leica M9 monochrom, but its a lot better then the factory settings.
